Terminator Salvation…

Terminator: Salvation was gritty, strong, and full of everything a fan of the Terminator franchise could hope for. McG took up where James Cameron left off and crafted a worthy story befitting John Connor, mankind’s savior against the machines.

But, as exciting as it was, and as refreshing as Christian Bale was as the Resistance’s leader, this movie was not unique enough to supplant Terminator 2: Judgement Day as the best movie in this franchise.

It also misses the mark when it comes to the humanness of this story which the television show Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles left on this series’ landscape.

However, this movie is brilliant. It offers us John Connor as an adult for the first time. We get our first glimpse of him in action, no more whispers of destiny prophesied by a third party. The weight of that is significant enough to praise this film without hesitation.

One Response to “Terminator Salvation…”

  1. Personally, I think this is the only Terminator movie worth watching. My rationale for that is that I don’t like the other ones-period.
