fL: J Paul, what has been the most exciting storyline of the summer? – Kevin T., San Diego, CA.
JP: Silly question. This is the “Summer of LeBron” afterall! But, talk about a let down. So many free agents and nothing but hype. Most high profile names are staying put for ungodly amounts of money and when the dust settles, the most impactful move will probably be D-Wade to Chicago. I am not holding my breath for any alliances coming out of the summit, which is a shame.
The entire NBA landscape could have changed if LeBron, Bosh and Wade could have accepted smaller deals to ensure they would play together for championships. Doesn’t look like it’s going to play out though. Not at this point.
Beyond that, Rookie Blue, Eclipse and a Smallville summer marathon are the only things keeping me going. Also, don’t forget that Dark Blue will be back on TNT in August. It’s a must see.
