The Day the ACC Died…

I don’t know when it happened.  I can’t put my finger on an exact date.  But, it has happened and college basketball will never be the same.  Sure, there is always 1 ACC team that is heads and tails above other teams in the nation.  Yes, in the end, it’s all about championships.  But, there was a time, back when I was growing up that from top to bottom, no team in the ACC was a cake walk.

That is no longer the case.  Take the ACC / Big Ten Challenge.  There was a time when we may lose the “Clemson” game, but no other.  Yesterday with UNC, FSU, GT and Clemson all falling to a Big Ten school, it is apparent that the good ole’ days are gone.

I guess the ACC will always have soccer.
